The City of Wetaskiwin has extended its new Residential Development Incentive Program for 2026 up to $200,000 to inspire the construction of up to twenty additional homes. Private individuals, contractors, and developers can apply for a $10,000 incentive for each low-to-medium density home constructed/completed by December 2027.
Property assessment notices for 2026 were mailed or emailed to all property owners in Wetaskiwin on February 13, 2026. Property owners have until April 24, 2026, to file an assessment complaint if they do not feel their property assessment accurately reflects the value of their property.
