[ARCHIVED] Assisting those displaced by wildfires

Fire logo .jpg

Our thoughts are with the people of northern Alberta, the first responders, and the more than 60,000 individuals forced out of their homes as a result of wildfires in the region. In efforts to help alleviate some of the stress during this difficult time the Wetaskiwin Fire Department is accepting monetary donations and clothing to help with the displaced families in Fort McMurray and surrounding area. Anyone who has clothing in good shape or has a monetary donation can drop these items off at the main fire hall between 8:30am and 4:00pm - Monday to Friday. Please ensure your items are in bags or boxes for easy transport. Thanks for any support you can offer. Our little city always has a big heart when it comes to helping others.
Please drop your donations off at the west fire hall: 5940 40th Avenue
