Mayor Tyler Gandam has issued a statement on the occasion of National Volunteer Week, April 16 to 22. We celebrate our volunteers — the time, talent, and energy they share to strengthen the fabric of our community.
A community’s ability to do just about anything relies heavily on its volunteers.
This year’s theme for National Volunteer Week is “Volunteering Weaves us Together” and it is absolutely true. Volunteers are the glue that hold a community together. Wetaskiwin is fortunate to have many people who give their time selflessly. They share their time and experience to bring people together. Selfishly, volunteering also gives you a really good feeling when you see the positive impact you can have in your community!
