Environment Canada has issued a rainfall warning for most of Central Alberta, with up to 60mm of rain expected tonight (June 23) and even into tomorrow (June 24). You can find out more about the rainfall warning here:
https://tinyurl.com/fnyn2bb4In an effort to prevent localized flooding, City crews are checking catch basins throughout Wetaskiwin to ensure adequate drainage. The pooling of water around the catch basins is normal during heavy rainfall but if the flooding reaches doorways of residences or businesses please phone the City’s on-call crew at 780.361.8035 to report it.
