Wetaskiwin City Hall to Open for Committee of the Whole and Council Meetings
To ensure the City is aligned with the requirements of the Municipal Government Act (MGA), Wetaskiwin City Hall will be opened to those who wish to attend any upcoming Committee of the Whole or City Council meeting. The electronic attendance option will remain in place as well.
The main entrance to Wetaskiwin City Hall will be opened to the public as of 12:45 pm on regularly scheduled Council meeting dates. Safeguards have been installed to help ensure physical distancing and sanitization requirements. The attending public may be seated either in Council Chambers with City Council, or just outside the chambers in the third floor foyer—depending on the number of people attending. The City encourages the public to continue attending meetings virtually due to the COVID-19 outbreak, but will welcome those who wish to attend in-person.
