*Any Special Event hosted on City-owned property must have an approved Special Event Application from the City of Wetaskiwin prior to taking place. All AHS Public Health Orders must be adhered to at all times.*

I have an idea...How do I put it into action?
Having a great event idea is the first step! Your next step would be to complete a Special Event Application.
You can contact the Recreation Department at 780.361.4445, to ensure the facility you want to book is available on your chosen date.
If you are planning to have food or merchandise vendors at your event, you will need to fill out a vendor permit. You can download the Vendor Permit Package (For more information on the vendor permit package and process, visit the City’s Vendors Web Page)
Once you’ve filled out the Special Events Application, you can drop it off at the Manluk Centre: Wetaskiwin Regional Aquatics & Fitness, located at: 4514 - 50 Avenue, Wetaskiwin, AB. Or you can email the completed application to the Recreation Department.
Please note the following time lines:
- Block Party
For block parties open to the public, a minimum of five (5) business days must be given prior to the event.
- Community Event: Less than 1,000 attendees (due to COVID-19, maximum attendance for an indoor event is set at 50, while outdoor events can have a maximum of 100 attendees. Physical distancing of at least 2 metres must be maintained at all times.)
For an event of this size, an event application must be submitted to the City of Wetaskiwin a minimum of 60 days prior to the event.
