Officials Training Course

We will be offering the Lifesaving Society's Community official and Pool Officials training in a combined course that is free to all participants. 
  • Training takes place on January 26th from 4:00-9:00pm
  • Register online HERE or use activity code 6760 on manlukcentre.ca/register.
  • Community Official prepares volunteers with basic competitive lifesaving officiating skills. Volunteers are trained to act as a Marshall, Announcer, Timer, Runner, Equipment Crew, Tabulator, and Recorder
  • Pool Official provides volunteers with officiating skills requiring judgement and problem solving. Volunteers are trained to act as a Clerk of Course, Chief Timer, Starter, Lane Judge, Turn Judge, Finish Judge, Chief Finish Judge, Scorer, Safety Officer, and Equipment Crew Chief.
  • Prerequisite(s): Minimum 16 years of age at the time of the exam

Dates and Warmups:
Saturday January 27, 2024
- Warmups will start at 7:00am
- Opening Ceremony will start at 8:15am
- Events Will start at 8:30am

Sunday January 28, 2024
- Warmups will start at 7:00am
- Events Will start at 7:45am

Entry Deadline:
- January 17 @ 11:59pm
