Community Clean Up
Spring Clean up 2016

Spring Clean-Up is taking place from May 14 to May 23 2016. If we each take just 20 minutes to clean up around our home, business, school, church, or yard, it will make a huge difference! Check out the poster here

  • Starting at 11:00 am on May 14, come down to the recycle centre to pick up FREE garbage bags and Community Clean-up information.  Choose an area and go do your clean up.  When you’re done, come on back to the recycle centre, drop off the garbage bags you’ve filled and enjoy the BBQ across the street at the WRPS parking lot.  Volunteers will be serving up hot dogs and beverages starting at 11:00am until 1:00pm.

  • Free garbage bags will be available at City Hall, 4705 – 50 Avenue beginning May 1st.

  • During Community Clean-up Week residents can use the landfill for no charge. Special hours of operation are in effect Thursday, Friday & Saturday, May 19, 20 & 21 (9:30 am – 6:30 pm). Please note that the landfill is closed Sunday, May 15 & 22 but is open on Holiday Monday, May 23.

  • Adopt-A-Block Help keep our community clean all season long. Adopt-A-Block and take some time once a month to pick up and clean up your area from May through October. Register your group or family for Adopt-A-Block and you will receive free bags and gloves.
