Wetaskiwin hosts two detachments of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police: one being responsible for the City and the other is responsible for rural areas. A new RCMP station was constructed in 2002, amalgamating personnel from the City, Rural, and Highway Detachments.

Wetaskiwin & District Victim Services Advocates Needed
Wetaskiwin & District Victim Services is now recruiting advocates who want to volunteer within their own community. We are looking for committed and empathetic adults who want to make a difference.

Advocates work directly with victims of crime and trauma.  They provide court support, emotional and practical support, information and referrals. Training is provided.
