Play Activities Leader: Youth Volunteer Program
The “P.A.L.’s” initiative is a volunteer program that gives youth ages 13-17 the chance to develop job-related skills and experience within their own community. Through working in programs such as P.L.A.Y. and day camps, youth will gain an understanding of skills including behaviour management, program planning, and leadership. The aim is to provide an opportunity that encourages growth and confidence through skill development in a hands-on learning environment. Volunteers will be given opportunities to attend training courses for programs such as HIGH FIVE, Be Fit for Life, and Sport for Life.
Position Length: 1 year (beginning in September)
Minimum volunteer hours per month: 8 - 12
Interested applicants are asked to complete an application and submit it to Chelsey Pitchko at the Manluk Centre. Successful candidates will be contacted for an interview.
