Earth Day 2017
April 22nd just happens to be EARTH DAY! Earth Day will be celebrated in conjunction with the Wetaskiwin Family Fun Fair. During the Family Fun Fair we will have crafts from recycled and biodegradable material that will fun for the entire family, not to mention all the inflatables, a vendor market, concession and so much more!

Rain Barrel & Compost Sale 

The City Engineering and Development Department will be selling Compost Bins and Rain Barrels at cost to promote water conservation and composting. $5.00 from each item will be donated to the Canadian Tire Jumpstart Program here in Wetaskiwin.

Rain Barrels info:

"My Green Wetaskiwin" Banner Contest

Children have the opportunity to draw what "My Green Wetaskiwin" means to them. The winners will have their drawing printed onto a banner and posted around the city.

Banner applications can be picked up and dropped off at the Manluk Centre, City Hall and participating Schools. You can also click on this link to download the contest rules and banner. Please print on 11x17 sheets of paper.

Deadline to enter is May 1, 2017.

There will be three winners selected from each category listed below:
  • Ages 5-8
  • Ages 9-12
  • Ages 13-15
  • Ages 16-18

*All Entries will receive a single-use pass for the Manluk Centre: Wetaskiwin Regional Aquatics and Fitness.
