The parking ban affecting the south side of 56 Avenue (east of 47 Street) was lifted by the City of Wetaskiwin on December 7, 2018. The ban was put into place in order to monitor the local infrastructure and ensure that an ice dam did not form around the catch basin. Please note that there is still no parking allowed within 5 metres of the catch basin. Two signs have been installed showing where this boundary begins and ends.
