Are you a civic-minded person that would like an opportunity to serve on a City Board or Committee? The City of Wetaskiwin is now accepting applications for members-at-large to serve on the following boards (most appointments are three years):

WETASKIWIN LIBRARY BOARD – Two (2) Openings
This Board organizes, promotes and maintains efficient library services.  Board meetings are held on the third Tuesday of each month and committee meetings are held as needed.

SUBDIVISION AND DEVELOPMENT APPEAL BOARD –One (1) Opening
The Subdivision and Development Appeal Board is a Board which reviews and makes a final decision on development applications or subdivisions which have been appealed.  The Board operates independently and is considered “quasi-judicial”.  The City will make training available to any new member.  Hearings are scheduled on an “as required” basis and are generally infrequent.

For more information contact Lucien Cloutier, Legislative Services Manager at 780-361-4459 or lucien.cloutier@wetaskiwin.ca. Application forms can be obtained at Wetaskiwin City Hall (4705 - 50 Avenue).
