In order to conserve water and promote sustainability, a Class 1 Water Restriction is in effect for the City of Wetaskiwin until September 1, 2017. A Class 1 Water Restriction means that the watering of lawns and washing of vehicles is restricted to every other day as follows:
- Addresses ending with odd numbers (1,3,5,7,9) can water on odd-numbered days
- Addresses ending with even numbers (0,2,4,6,8) can water on even-numbered days
- Commercial businesses are exempt from the restriction unless otherwise stated by Wetaskiwin City Council
