[ARCHIVED] 2013 Road Improvement Program

Road Replacement

Every year, the City of Wetaskiwin prioritizes the repair of roads within our community. The following roads have been selected for repair this year (2013):

55A Street Roadway:
- Centennial Dr. south to Hawthorne Crescent
- Total roadway reconstruction
- Remove and replace roadway structure, asphalt, sidewalk, curb and gutter
- Approximate start date is Wednesday, June 26, 2013
- Estimated 4 - 6 weeks to complete

51 Street Sidewalk Replacement:
- 47 – 49 Avenue
- Removal of existing 1.2m (4 ft.) separate sidewalk
- Install new 2.0 m. (6.5 ft.) sidewalk with no boulevard
- Landscaping, etc.
- No start date has been set at this time

50 Street Paving:
- 40 – 47 Avenue
- Asphalt removal and replacement (125mm thick)
- Subgrade grading, concrete repairs, para-ramp installation, line markings
- No start date has been set at this time

56 Street Lane Reconstruction:
- 47 – 50 Avenue
- Southbound curb lane reconstruction
- Asphalt removal, subgrade repairs, new asphalt (125mm thick)
- No start date has been set at this time

40 Avenue Lane Reconstruction:
- 49 – 56 Street.
- Eastbound curb lane reconstruction
- Asphalt removal, subgrade repairs, new asphalt (125mm thick)
- No start date has been set at this time

36 Street Re-surfacing:
- Hwy 13 south to Garden Meadows Drive
- Install 12.7mm Chip Seal to existing surface
- New traffic markings
- No start date has been set at this time
