Our thoughts are with the people of northern Alberta, the first responders, and the more than 80,000 individuals forced out of their homes as a result of wildfires in the region. In an effort to assist those affected, the Wetaskiwin Fire Department is accepting monetary donations, toiletries (toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap, shampoos, feminine products, diapers) and non-perishable food items. Donations can be dropped off at the West Fire Hall - located at 5940 40 Avenue - between 8:30am and 4:00pm Monday to Friday. Please ensure your items are in bags or boxes for easy transport.
