All public parks in the City of Wetaskiwin - including By-the-Lake Park and Peace Hills Park - are areas where pets are required to be on-leash. Failure to obey these rules can result in a fine as per City Bylaws.
There is also the growing issue of owners not picking up after their pets. This results in an unpleasant environment for those enjoying our natural areas, and is particularly bad during the spring as the snow melts.
