[ARCHIVED] City Hall and Public Works office opening to the Public

On July 13, City Hall, and the Public Works office will open their doors again to the public. Public health measures have been put in place at each facility to keep both City staff and members of the public safe and to reduce the risk of spreading the COVID-19 virus. Please follow all posted signage and perform transactions by phone or email as much as possible to keep in-person visits to a minimum.

Here are the highlights of what to expect at each facility:

City Hall (4705 - 50 Avenue) 780.361.4400 *There will be no public access beyond the first floor*

  • Designated entrance (south)/exit (north): Signage will be posted *The North exit will be an accessible entrance*
  • Hours of Operation: 8:30 am to 12 noon; and 1:00 pm to 4:30 pm (closed from 12 noon to 1 pm)
  • Maximum visitor capacity: Four (4) people at any one time *parents with children will be counted as one (1), as long as physical distancing is maintained*
  • No Public washroom access
  • Hand sanitizing: Sanitization stations set up at both the entrance & exit

Public Works office (5520 - 50 Street) 780.361.4436

  • Hours of Operation: 8:30 am to 12 noon; and 1:00 pm to 3:30 pm (closed from 12 noon to 1 pm)
  • Maximum visitor capacity: One (1) person at any one time
  • No Public washroom access
  • Hand sanitizing: There will be a hand sanitization station set up

*Please note - Family and Community Support Services (FCSS), Wetaskiwin Archives, and the Wetaskiwin Public Library will remain closed and will be postponing their opening until Stage 3 of the Provincial relaunch. Contact them directly with questions or concerns.*
