Wetaskiwin EMS Services
Ambulance services for Wetaskiwin and area are provided by Guardian Ambulance Ltd. They are licensed with Alberta Health as an Advanced Life Support (ALS) ambulance service and exceed all the requirements of the Emergency Health Services Act. For emergency ambulance service, please dial 9-1-1.
There are three ALS ambulances in the Wetaskiwin area which are staffed by one paramedic and one EMT, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. There is a staffed ambulance station located in the City of Wetaskiwin. Guardian Ambulance Ltd. strives to keep up with new advancements in emergency medical services that allow for above-standard patient care. Guardian Ambulance Ltd. works closely with the Wetaskiwin Hospital Emergency Department to ensure that the transition from pre-hospital care to hospital care is smooth and efficient.

Guardian Ambulance Ltd. is involved with local community groups and schools to educate the citizens of Wetaskiwin and area in injury prevention and the importance of accessing Emergency Medical Services. They also work closely with the local fire departments and the R.C.M.P. by participating in integrated training to enhance their services to the community.
